Texas Exes Engagement Intern — Fall 2026 – Spring 2027
Position Overview
The Engagement Intern supports the Texas Exes engagement team by collaborating across multiple departments on a variety of programs, projects, and member engagement initiatives. This hands-on internship provides valuable experience in data management, reporting, digital communications, event planning, and alumni engagement.
Responsibilities may include:
- Helping plan, coordinate, and support Texas Exes events and engagement activities.
- Using content management systems to update and maintain HookedIn content and records.
- Creating and analyzing HookedIn and other engagement reports.
- Working with Salesforce data to support organizational goals and outreach efforts.
- Assisting with Longhorn 100 data collection, content development, and program support.
- Collaborating with staff across departments on special projects and strategic initiatives.
- Providing administrative and operational support as needed.

Job Requirements
- Microsoft Word, Excel Proficiency
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, etc.)
- Familiar with Salesforce or similar CRM & CMS systems
- Attention to detail & problem-solving
- Data entry experience
- Ability to prioritize handle several projects at once
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Dependable, consistent schedule
- A team player with a positive attitude who respects and supports everyone on staff
- Ability to work at least 3 hours at a time
- Ability to work longer hours on event days/support event staff
- Past event experience a plus
Other Skills/Abilities/Success Factors
The most successful candidate will be flexible, organized, detail-oriented, and a self-starter who is comfortable working with minimal supervision. Energy and intuition are also extremely helpful.
Work Location & Schedule
The main work location is in the Etter-Harbin Alumni Association building, although you may be assigned to work events in other locations. We will work with you to create a schedule that accommodates your school schedule but we are looking for students who can work MWF and can work at least 2.5 - 3 hours per shift. Event shifts are usually longer, and you may be needed during the entire event.
