Spring

  • FTX Support -- Caissons provide HOT CHOW and war stories to the Cadets as they finish up their Field Training Exercise
  • AROTC Dining Out -- Caissons Life Members and contributing personnel are invited to attend the AROTC Dining out. A great formal event...we’re never too old for prom!
  • Commencement and Commissioning - The Caissons present a Membership certificate to the graduating Cadets and welcome them into the ranks of the Officer Corps

Summer

  • Summer Training Support -- Caissons support Cadets while they attend summer training activities at Army posts across the Nation and across the World. Such events include, NSTP (Ft. Sam), LDAC (Ft. Lewis), LTC (Ft. Knox), and CTLT (all over), and Proficiency Badge Schools (all over).
  • Commencement and Commissioning - The Caissons present a Membership certificate to the graduating Cadets and welcome them into the ranks of the Officer Corps

Fall

  • Scholarship Awards -- Caissons and the Texas Exes award three scholarships to Cadets in memory of CPT Orlando A. Bonilla, 2LT Tommy Pham, and 1LT Russell A. Steindam.
  • FTX Support -- Caissons provide HOT CHOW and war stories to the Cadets as they finish up their Field Training Exercise
  • Veterans Day BBQ and Texas Football Game -- Caissons from all over join the Cadets for a pre-game tailgate party and then flood the stadium to Come Early, Be Loud. And Stay Late!
  • Happy Hour -- Next Fall we will begin a Sunday Happy Hour program to facilitate more informal interaction among the local Austin Caissons and Cadets.

Winter

  • AROTC Dining In -- Caissons Life Members and contributing personnel are invited to attend the AROTC Dining In.
  • Commencement and Commissioning - The Caissons present a Membership certificate to the graduating Cadets and welcome them into the ranks of the Officer Corps
  • Austin Half Marathon -- Friends and Family of CPT Orlando Bonilla run the Austin Half Marathon to honor his life and service to country.
  • Scholarship Award - LTG (R) Magruder awards a scholarship in memory of COL Lawson Magruder Jr. for an MSIV Cadet who best displays the attributes of Duty and Integrity

All Year Long

  • Caissons Watch Parties -- Caissons across the world are encouraged to gather and rally for Texas Sporting events in the form of Shiners, BBQ, and passion for the game!
  • Sporting Events -- Caissons across the globe participate in local sporting events to keep young, keep fit, and enjoy some Veteran Longhorn company!
