Scholarships

Since awarding our first $100 scholarship in 1899, the Texas Exes’ scholarship program has become one of the largest alumni association programs in the country. As the association has grown to more than 106,000 members, our efforts in this vital area have expanded enormously. In the 2017-18 school year, we’ll award a record $3.9 million to 650 UT students.

Forty Acres Scholars Program

Since its inaugural class in 2011, the Texas Exes Forty Acres Scholars Program has grown into one of the most elite and competitive scholarships in the country. This premier, full-ride, merit-based program for The University of Texas at Austin, is unique in its dedication to a close-knit and diverse cohort, and the access it gives scholars to successful alumni. Not only does the program significantly raise the prestige of the university, it develops a community of students who will become exceptional alumni after graduation.

The Forty Acres Scholars Program provides students with academic, leadership, and cultural experiences that enrich their lives and set them up for great success. This is made possible by the generosity of alumni and friends of the university. To continue to thrive and compete, the program must broaden its base of Longhorn support. General Scholarship Fund

Donate to a general scholarship fund to provide additional support to students or establish an endowed named scholarship which can be applied with or without application restrictions. The general scholarship fund allows the Texas Exes to provide larger scholarships to deserving students who are receiving funds from an endowed scholarship that's distribution is smaller than most. It also allows the Texas Exes to offer a scholarship to deserving students who did not receive one of our named scholarships. These funds are placed in a scholarship endowment in order to provide these additional scholarship funds in perpetuity.

For more information on establishing an endowed scholarship, please contact Daniel Becka at daniel.becka@texasexes.org or 512-840-5662.

If you are interested in supporting a scholarship and would like to mail in your donation, please send it to: PO BOX 7828 Austin, TX 78713 or please contact Daniel Becka at daniel.becka@texasexes.org or 512-840-5662.
