Thirsty Thursday

On the 13th of February, the Highland Lakes Texas Exes held a Thirsty Thursday at the Downtown Beer Hall on Main Street in Marble Falls. Over beverages and food, we discussed many issues and enjoyed the company of new and old friends.

Thank you to the 13 individuals who attended. We raised $250 for this year’s UT academic scholarships. Later this spring, HLTE will award the scholarships to area high school seniors.

Also, thank you to the Downtown Beer Hall and its staff.

March 2025 Independence Day Fundraiser

On Sunday, March 23, Highland Lakes Texas Exes held its annual Texas Independence Day Barbecue and Fundraiser at Spicewood Vineyards. This year, we met in the event center. We had a lot more room to enjoy great conversation over drinks before dinner was served! Forty-four members bought tickets and thirty-five attended. The chapter raised $2,098.35 in ticket sales, with members contributing an additional $690 in donations placed in the contribution jar.

The beautiful surroundings of Spicewood Vineyards afforded a great background to relax and raise scholarship money. (And eat barbecue, with great sides and desserts.) Many thanks to Spicewood Vineyards for hosting our event annually, and donating the space!

Thirsty Thursday

On April 10th, Highland Lakes Texas Exes returned to Downtown Beer Hall in Marble Falls for the April Thirsty Thursday. It was a good night for the chapter. We had 20 people in attendance and we raised $470 in donations for the academic scholarships.

Once again, Downtown Beer Hall provided good food and beverages, enabling members to meet in a relaxed setting. Once again, thank you to Downtown Beer Hall and its staff.
