Texas Fight Rally & Parade

Wednesday, Oct. 9  

A tradition since 1916, Texas Fight Rally & Parade is held every year before the Texas vs. OU game. 

Watch the parade make its way down Guad at 7:30 p.m., then join in and follow us to the Tower where we’ll send the team off to Dallas in true Longhorn fashion.

“Beat OU” Shirt Competition 

For more than 100 years, the Red River Showdown has gone down at the Cotton Bowl. And, for more than 100 years, students have been creating shirts, buttons, signs, hats, and other gear to show their support for the Longhorns. Help us create the 2024 Beat OU Shirt by submitting your design.

Student Org Banner Competition 

Participate in Texas Fight Rally and your student organization could win a cash prize! All you have to do is show us your Longhorn spirit!

The $1,000 prize will go to the best overall organization and a $250 prize will be awarded to both the best Greek/Spirit org and the best Non-Greek/Spirit organization. To win, orgs will be scored and ranked based on the following:

  • Incorporation of the parade theme in your organization’s banner and the execution and creativity of banner decoration. Banner must include the name of the student organization.
  • Demonstration of school spirit
  • Participation — Bring as many of your organization’s members as possible! 

The winners of the competition will be announced in front of the Tower during Texas Fight Rally! Stay tuned for information on this year's theme.

Student Org Supplies Pick-Up  

Oct. 2, 1–2 p.m.

Pick up FREE banner competition supplies on Speedway in front of Greg Plaza! Supplies per org include paintbrushes, paint, and one banner. We're starting you off with these supplies, but feel free to add more decorations to make your banner stand out! (Note: You do not have to use Texas Exes supplies for the competition.)

If someone from your org is unable to make it, you can pick up your supplies from Sept. 30–Oct. 4 during business hours (8 a.m.–5 p.m.) at the Etter-Harbin Alumni Center.

 

Texas Fight Rally & Parade

The winner of the Spirit Org Banner Competition will be announced in front of the Tower during Texas Fight Rally! Organizations must participate in the parade and decorate a banner relating to the theme to be eligible to win.
