FAQ

What is the difference between a Life Membership and Business Membership?

Life Membership dues are a one-time payment of $1,000 and 90% of Life Membership dues are placed in a permanent endowment. Life Members receive a Life Member number, member kit, subscription to the Alcalde magazine, and access to member benefits and services.

Business Membership dues are $1,000 per year and 80% tax-deductible. See all Business Member benefits.

What is the difference between a free listing in the Business Directory and a Business Membership?

A free listing posts your business for free in our online directory.

Business Members receive a premium listing including a logo in our online directory; these listings are also included on a featured page of Texas Exes Business Members. Business Members also receive invitations to networking opportunities, social promotion on Texas Exes social pages*, inclusion in the Orange Pages (printed and mailed annually), and more.

*Business members are featured at the discretion of Texas Exes staff.

Is there a time of year I should join the Business Membership

You can join any time! Membership is for one year. If you join on June 1, your membership will expire on June 1 of the following calendar year.

Will I get a business receipt?

Yes, upon purchase you will receive a transaction receipt at your provided email.

Why is the Business Membership only 80% tax-deductible?

The Texas Exes is a 501(3)(c) nonprofit organization. Beyond the membership fulfillment hard costs, the remaining membership dues are a charitable contribution that goes toward supporting the programs that strengthen UT and help Longhorns.
