What drew you to the Forty Acres Scholars Program?
I was immediately drawn to the program’s incredible opportunity for global exploration, mentorship, community, and networking. What made me certain that this was the place for me, was the program’s incredible sense of community. I truly feel I’m getting the best of both worlds—all that a large, world-class university has to offer, along with the small, tight-knit community that the Forty Acres Scholars Program offers. You can feel that every person involved with the program—from the staff to the fellow scholars to the donors themselves—truly wants you to thrive and succeed, and is ready to enthusiastically offer their support. Among the scholars, I found a unique group of highly intelligent, ambitious, diverse, and accomplished individuals who were incredibly down-to-earth and welcoming. After meeting the scholars, I instantly knew that these were the people I wanted to be around. Their energy, enthusiasm, ambition, and kindness are infectious. This program has such a unique spirit that I simply didn’t find anywhere else in the college process. Choosing the Forty Acres Scholars Program was the easiest decision I ever made.
