What We're Fundraising For
Your gift to the Chapter or Network of your choice funds scholarships for students from your area or who share a common bond with you. Here's how:

  • Texas Exes Chapters are located across the globe and serve the regional needs of alumni. Each year, they provide scholarship support to hundreds of the best and brightest students attending UT from their local areas.
  • Texas Exes Networks are made up of Longhorns who share a common bond. These volunteer-led groups create a way for alumni to connect around shared interests, UT experiences, or affiliations. Each year, they provide scholarship support to deserving UT students who share those same bonds.

Your Impact
For the 2022-23 academic year, more than $533,950 in scholarship funds was awarded to 307 UT students by chapters and networks.

How to Participate

  • Promote 40 for Forty online - social media and weekly e-newsletter
  • Encourage/promote donating during the Texas Exes Chapter and Network Challenges - https://40for40.utexas.edu/giving-day/63893/leaderboards
  • Select an Ambassador(s) from your chapter/network to fundraise for your scholarship fund
    • As an Ambassador, you will:
      • Post about 40 for Forty on social media and send messages to your UT connections asking them to donate during Forty for 40. 
      • Have the opportunity to win extra money for your chapter or network 
      • Represent your group and the UT community! 

      Being a 40 for Forty ambassador means helping however you can, whether that’s sharing our posts on social media or making a phone call to your friend. Once you sign up, you will have access to your designate Texas Exes Chapter or Network for where your referral link will go, select Texas Exes Chapters.
