Discover the enduring cultural and intellectual legacy of the Moors in the Imperial Cities of Morocco and Spain’s Andalusia.

Begin this journey in Morocco’s medieval town of Taroudant or choose, instead, to visit the beautiful Atlas Mountains for a glimpse of traditional Berber life. Take in storied Marrakech, perhaps Morocco’s most attractive Imperial city. And in the country’s capital, Rabat, admire the glorious architecture, some dating back to the Moorish kings.

On the Spanish portion of this superb itinerary, visit the historic town of Tarifa (continental Europe’s southernmost port) and the nearby well-preserved Roman ruins of Baelo Claudia. After a stop on famed Gibraltar, enjoy a visit to the Andalusian town of Casares, its characteristic white houses tumbling over the hillsides, or, alternatively, explore the splendid Roman and Visigothic ruins near San Pedro.

And finally, reach Granada, one of the greatest cities of al-Andalus, to explore its crown jewel, the Alhambra, an Arabian Nights palace of lush gardens, tranquil courtyards, and private chambers—each one a jewel of Moorish design.

With 17 cabins accommodating a maximum of 34 guests, the private yacht Callisto is the ideal ship for this splendid itinerary. She allows for intimate conviviality as the heart of a great voyage. And the bar is always open!
