The Texas Exes is a self-governed nonprofit organization that exists to promote and protect The University of Texas at Austin and unite alumni around the world. Chapters are local affiliates of the Texas Exes. Chapters extend the UT experience beyond the Forty Acres, bolster membership in the association, and foster Longhorn fellowship in local communities. The Texas Exes New Orleans Chapter is composed entirely of volunteers.

Our group exists to develop connections to the past, present, and future of UT Austin and between Texas Exes members living in the area by providing fun and meaningful involvement opportunities. Our activities are geared toward UT Austin alumni who live in New Orleans, though anyone interested in supporting UT can join in,. Visitors to the area with an interest in supporting UT Austin and meeting other UT alumni are always welcome to our activities and events.
