Alaska Chapter of the Texas Exes
Our Goals
- We raise funds to support students from Alaska who attend The University of Texas. We weigh financial need, academics, and extracurriculars in an attempt to find the best candidate(s) each year.
- We support the Texas 4000 riders by planning, organizing, and managing all of the finish line activities in Anchorage. We also help make arrangements for supporters who come to Alaska to welcome the riders including Texas 4000 staff, and riders' parents, other relatives, and friends.
- We perform an annual spring community service activity.
- We celebrate Texas history events such as Texas Independence Day.
- We gather together to cheer for the Longhorn sports teams.
We do not charge for membership, nor do we exclude anyone. If you consider yourself interested in supporting Texas 4000 or cheering on the Longhorns, then you are in welcome to be a member of our organization. We include everyone who wants to support us.
