The Texas Exes, the alumni association for The University of Texas at Austin, announces the immediate opening for the full-time, non-exempt position of Accounting Administrator.

Position Overview
The Accounting Administrator plays a key role in the Accounting & Finance Department with responsibility over accounts receivable, reconciliation, document management, cash procedures, compliance and organizational reporting and a variety of other accounting functions.

Major Job Functions

  • Perform general ledger and database entry for registrations, donations, & other revenue receipts
  • Perform research and reconcile general ledger accounts
  • Maintain fixed asset sub ledger and coordinate asset tracking
  • Maintain all files and perform general administrative tasks
  • Prepare vendor invoices and proactively monitor receivables
  • Assist with month-end close
  • Ensure efficient client services and provide support to administrative staff
  • Assist with various projects as assigned

Essential Job Requirements

  • High school diploma; Associate degree preferred
  • 1 - 3 years’ experience in clerical accounting
  • Ability to meet time sensitive deliverables
  • Team player and a positive demeanor
  • Strong MS Office skills
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures
