(ESA-FRANTZ) Joe B. Frantz Memorial Scholarship
For deserving junior, senior, or graduate level students who are pursuing scholarly research in the history of Texas, Mexico, and the Southwest. ($900/1 recipient)

(ESA-GEREN) The Geren Scholarship
For a current full time undergraduate Liberal Arts major at UT with a minimum 3.4 GPA who works at least 20 hours per week during the academic year. ($1,800-$2,200/1 recipient)

Pete Geren Challenge Grant Scholarship in Law
For deserving African American or Hispanic students in the School of Law at The University of Texas at Austin.   The scholarship will fund two recipients annually.  The recipients can continue to receive the scholarships for an additional two years as long as they remain enrolled as full time students in the School of Law and make satisfactory progress toward their degrees. Recommended by the School of Law. ($4600/1 recipient)

Stella Gliddon Memorial Scholarship
For student in the School of Music. Recipients will be recommended by the chair of the School of Music. ($600/1 recipient)

Carol F. Goodfriend Scholarship
For a junior or senior in UT’s School of Social Work with financial need and at least a 3.0 overall grade point average. First preference should be given to students from the greater Houston area. If no resident of the greater Houston area is deemed worthy of the scholarship, then the recipient should be a Texas resident. ($500-$1,000/1 recipient)

(ESA-HEIDEN) Alfred Heidenheimer Scholarship
For a deserving entering student who demonstrates financial need, with first preference given to graduates of AnsonHigh School and second preference given to students from JonesCounty. The initial award may be continued through the normal course of studies if the applicant is in financial need and reapplies annually. ($1,500/1 recipient)

(ESA-HISPANIC)  Hispanic Faculty and Staff Association/Jamail-Long Challenge Grant Scholarship
For deserving Hispanic students that are current freshmen or sophomores at UT Austin. 

(ESA-HISPANIC)Hispanic Texas Exes/University Co-Op Scholarship
For deserving Hispanic students at The University of Texas at Austin. ($1,000/1recipient)

Laurie Petermann Jenschke Music Scholarship
For entering freshmen or current students who are music majors. Students must demonstrate financial need and exhibit a strong commitment to music education and performance. Preference will be given to students from Gillespie, Kerr, or LlanoCounties. ($1,700-$2,000/1 recipient)

(ESA-KANE) Bothwell B. Kane Memorial Scholarship
Scholarship for candidates for the ministry in any recognized Christian denomination or candidates for home and foreign missionary work. Email an additional one-page essay describing your qualifications and future plans should be submitted via email to moore@alumni.utexas.edu. ($1,800-$2,500/1 recipient)

(ESA-BUS) Candice Kim Memorial Scholarship
For an Asian-American upperclassman in the College of Business with a GPA of 3.0 or better; must show financial need. Involvement in campus activities and interest in attending law school will be secondary considerations for selection. ($600-$700/1 recipient)

(ESA-KINDLE) John Madison Kindle Memorial Scholarship
For a graduate student who is registered for and in the process of preparing a graduate thesis or dissertation. ($150/1 recipient)

Professor and Mrs. Karl K. Klein Endowed Graduate Scholarship
For graduate students in health education and/or health promotion and fitness who show promise or contribution to their fields. Applicants must be recommended by the chair of the department. ($1,000-$3,000/1-2 recipients)

Fred E. Lewis Jr. Athletic Scholarship
For a University football or baseball player who has completed his eligibility to compete but has not yet received his UT degree. Applicants must be recommended by the Department of Men’s Intercollegiate Athletics. ($800/1 recipient)

Fred E. Lewis Jr. Longhorn Band Scholarship
For a current member of the Longhorn Band who is also majoring in music. The student must be recommended by the director of the Longhorn Band. ($700/1 recipient)

J. Jeffery Linhart Memorial Scholarship
For a deserving, highly motivated junior or senior who is studying pharmacy at The University of Texas at Austin and needs financial assistance to complete a degree. Recommended by the dean of the College of Pharmacy. ($1,200-$1,500/1 recipient)

Clyde Littlefield Graduate Fellowship
For University of Texas athletes who, after completing requirements for a bachelor’s degree, enter graduate or professional school. Applicants must be recommended by the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. ($2,000-$4,000/2 recipients)

Will Looney Memorial Scholarship
For a graduate student at The University of Texas who received an undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University in College Station.  Applicants should demonstrate a passion for life and a desire to better the world.  Involvement on campus and a demonstration of leadership, dedication to scholarship, service and integrity will also be taken into consideration.  Applicants must be enrolled as full time UT graduate students.   Send your most recent resume (include high school information) and a one-page essay describing your how you personify the ideals listed in the scholarship description by April 8 to Eleanor Moore, Texas Exes Scholarship Director, moore@alumni.utexas.edu ($2500/1 recipient)

Donna Lopiano/Jean Kaspar Scholarship For Team Spirit, Leadership, and Excellence In Women’s Athletics
For a female athlete at the University who demonstrates team spirit and leadership and who aspires to excellence. Applicants must be recommended by the director of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women. ($700-$1,000/1 recipient)

Salvador and Viola Luna Endowed Scholarship
The award is for a Hispanic student from the City of Houston or HarrisCounty, who demonstrates scholarship, leadership, and financial need. The scholarship may be given to an entering freshman or undergraduate, and the same student can receive the scholarship more than once. ($1,400/1 recipient)

(ESA-MAGUIRE) Pat and Jack Maguire Scholarship
For an upper division or graduate student "with a dream...or vision that will make a significant contribution to society for all of us." Candidates should be at a level of quality that merits recognition of professionals in their chosen field (e.g. publication, performance in the fine arts, etc.). Send a one-page essay describing your dream or vision for the future and a letter of recommendation from a UT faculty member to The Texas Exes, Director of Scholarships, P.O. Box 7278, Austin, TX 78713. The essay can be emailed to moore@alumni.utexas.edu. ($2,000-$3,000/1 recipient)

Humboldt C. and Evangeline S. Mandell Scholarship
For a senior recipient of the Texas Exes President’s Leadership Award who will be doing graduate study at The University of Texas at Austin.  ($2000/1recipient)

Leon Maner Memorial Scholarships
Scholarships restricted to graduates of CiscoHigh School and CiscoJunior College who will attend The University of Texas at Austin. Several awarded each year. Apply through the superintendent of the CiscoIndependentSchool District in early spring. ($25,000-$35,000/4-8 recipients)

(ESA-MAREK) Lucille Robison Marek and Emil Henry Marek, M.D. Memorial Scholarship
For undergraduate pre-med or education majors with academic merit and financial need. ($1,200/1 recipient)

(ESA-MBNA) MBNA Scholarship
For current UT undergraduate students whose parent or parents are Life Members or dues-paying members of The Texas Exes. Applicants must be full time UT students with a grade point average of at least 3.0. The recipient will be selected from all qualified applicants by a drawing. Applicants must submit name and address of parent in the essay portion of the application. ($400/1 recipient)
