Membership does have its privileges. Read the full list of Texas Exes member benefits.

  • Access to Texas Exes Tailgates, held at the Alumni Center prior to every home game.

  • Receive our bi-monthly magazine, The Alcalde, our monthly e-newsletter, The Hook Up, and local chapter correspondence to keep you informed of Texas Exes happenings in your area.
Once you’ve settled into your post-graduation residence, update your address and profile. By keeping your address up-to-date you will insure that you receive your Alcalde and your membership packet.  
All graduates received a year of membership as a gift from your dean. Memberships for graduates are typically processed about 8 weeks after graduation because processing time required by the university. Graduates should expect to receive their membership card and decal by mail about 2 months after graduation. Online benefits such as UT Online Library access can be used after you receive your membership card in the mail. Life Membership packets are mailed out within two weeks of graduation.  
There is no better way to acclimate to a new location than through your local Texas Exes Chapter or Network. Chapters and networks offer a variety of activities. View the list of Chapters and Networks.

We also have young alumni specific programming in some areas such as Dallas, Houston, Austin and Chicago. A full list of upcoming Texas Exes events can be seen on our Facebook Application.
The Texas Exes have a strong presence on social networking sites - it is easier than ever to catch up with old classmates and college buds, make important career connections, browse campus photos, or just find information easily about university news and events.

Typically you can expect your @mail.utexas.edu address to remain active for up to a month after graduation.

After your official graduation date, you are eligible to sign up for your permanent @alumni.utexas.edu e-mail forwarding account.
