The Texas Exes has an opportunity fund that may be used to provide donations to student groups that serve The University of Texas. Eligible student groups must be registered and in good standing as a student organization with The University of Texas.
Distribution Dates

Fall request deadline: The last Friday of September

Fall decision and distribution: The second Friday in October

Spring request deadline: The last Friday in January

Spring decision and distribution: The second Friday in February
Donation committee
A committee comprised of the following four positions meets each semester to discuss the merits of the donation requests and decides the groups/amount that will receive donations. Priority is given to those student organizations that best support the Texas Exes’ mission. A majority vote determines the distribution, with an unresolved tie vote resulting in no action (no contribution).

Additional Guidelines

The ability to have funds for donations is not guaranteed from year to year.

Student groups receiving donations are not guaranteed to receive donations in the future. Groups interested in a donation, regardless of whether or not a donation had been given to the group in the past, must apply.

Life membership requests can be part of the donation and will be valued at a cost of $550.
