How will I stay connected to the university?

  • Change your address online as soon as you are settled.
  • The Alcalde, UT’s award-winning alumni magazine that will keep you informed about what’s happening on campus.
  • Come to the biggest Tailgate in Texas at the Etter-Harbin Alumni Center. Current members, one guest, and children 18 and under are free when accompanied by a member. All other non-members will be charged a $5 entrance fee and must be accompanied by a member. Remember to bring your membership card or Life Member key tag for admittance.
  • The Texas Exes have jumped in to the Web 2.0 world. We encourage alumni to download the Texas Exes Facebook application, become a fan of the Texas Exes Facebook page, join the Texas Exes LinkedIn group, or subscribe to the Texas Exes You Tube channel. In addition to these tools sponsored by the Texas Exes, several of our chapters and networks have created Facebook and LinkedIn groups. Just search “Texas Exes” on these sites to find and join these groups.

How will I get medical insurance?

For many students, Graduation Day carries an additional meaning. After that point, most graduates can no longer be covered under a parent’s medical plan. That’s why the Texas Exes has a Short-Term Medical Insurance Plan for recent graduates.

This special health coverage option gives you valuable peace-of-mind knowing you’re protected against expensive medical bills for an accident or sudden illness. Plus, the plan’s affordable rates were designed to fit into almost any budget. Lock in your healthcare safety net today: click here or call 1-888-560-ALUM (2586).
