Each year, the Texas Exes honor alumni who distinguish themselves professionally and in their communities at two separate awards ceremonies. We are always looking for exemplary alumni who excel in their fields and embody the positive spirit of the University of Texas.

Distinguished Alumnus Awards - Created in 1958, these prestigious awards are granted annually on a Friday evening before a home football game to up to six Texas Exes who have distinguished themselves professionally and through service to The University of Texas. Nomination deadline is November 1.

Outstanding Young Texas Ex Awards - This award, initiated in 1980, recognizes Texas Exes no older than 40 who have made significant achievements in their careers and service to the University. Association members and UT faculty nominate candidates; four recipients are selected each year. Awards are presented in Austin on the day of UT’s spring Commencement.Nomination deadline is September 15.
