TAILGATING - LBJ Austin Alumni joins the Great Tailgate Society
Modern Tailgating at LBJ started in 2001 with three LBJ students eating breakfast tacos and drinking beer under the LBJ Breezeway. The next week they moved to the front of the LBJ School courtesy of two well timed icy-cold Pepsi's handed to UT Security. By 2004 the "Great Tailgate Society" included beer sponsors. By 2008 there were food sponsors, lawn games and more. NOW the "Great Tailgate Society" officially includes Alumni. The Austin Alumni Association has joined the "Great Tailgate Society" on behalf of ALL Association Members. Whether you stay for the whole time or just pop in... you will be welcomed with a howdy and a beverage. Bring the family, bring a friend and absolutely bring your spare change (look for the pickle jar).

LBJ Austin Alumni / Student - Welcome Happy Hour - Thursday August 26, 2010, 5:30 till... at Nasty's Pub, 606 Maiden Lane at Guadelupe (across from Amy's Ice Cream). Drink Specials, raffle, food. No charge (but spare change is welcome... seriously).
