LBJ Austin Alumni > Announcements

The Austin Alumni Association continues to work with faculty, staff and student groups to reconnect alumni with the LBJ School. Together, we’re building a communications network to promote the LBJ School locally while building alumni/student career and social pathways. We successfully promoted the launch of the Google alumni global map on the LBJ School’s website.

• Alumni are encouraged to submit and update their information to make the map effective.
• Alumni volunteers continue making the alumni/student policy dinners a roaring success with more than 25 dinners (Fall 2011/Spring 2012) with topics like “The Apollo Project’s Tech Policy Potluck Dinner.”
• Join us for a board meeting and see if you’d like to become a board member. We’re recruiting now!
• Support the Association by volunteering at a career development or casual networking event. Please watch for our annual donor campaign notice arriving by mail and e-mail next month. This is your chance to support the Austin Alumni Association and the Spirit of LBJ Award.
• Each August we award a deserving student who embodies the spirit of LBJ and has completed his/her first year. The nomination process begins April 2012 and concludes in June.
