Texas Exes Career Services office provides invaluable feedback and tools int he form of consultations, assessments, and networking opportunities. You can utilize our virtual career center to access job listings, best practices for networking, and online career tools.

Texas Exes Business Network (TEBN) - The mission of the TEBN is to unite, inform, and network all alumni of The University of Texas at Austin for the purpose of greater success in business. Your involvement supports the Texas Exes’ mission to praise, promote, and protect The University of Texas at Austin as a leader among the world’s universities. This is one of several Texas Exes Chapter programs designed to provide involvement opportunities to Texas Exes members locally. Sometimes, proceeds from TEBN events help fund the local Texas Exes Chapter’s scholarships.

Gateway to the University

UT Library Use - Members may acquire free Courtesy Borrower cards at the Circulation Desk in the Perry-Castaneda Library which they may use to check out materials from units of the General Libraries. These cards are not accepted at the Law Library, the Center for American History, or the Humanities Research Center and do not provide remote access to proprietary databases which are restricted to UT Austin students, faculty and staff.

Online UT Library Search - Members have access to the (1) Academic Search Alumni Edition and the (2) Business Source Alumni Edition of the UT Libraries. The databases offer information in nearly every area of study including biology, chemistry, engineering, physics, psychology, religion & theology, and includes full text sources ranging from general periodicals to trade publications and top management journals.

Academic Search Alumni Edition is designed for the research needs of the post-college professional. The database provides full text for more than 2,300 journals as well as indexing and abstracting for more than 8,000 journals. The database offers information in nearly every area of academic study including biology, chemistry, engineering, physics, psychology, religion & theology, and more. Academic Search Alumni Edition also includes valuable peer-reviewed full-text journals, offering critical information from many sources.

(2) Business Source® Alumni Edition

Business Source Alumni Edition is designed for the research needs of the post-college professional. This database includes publications in nearly every area of business including marketing, management, MIS, POM, accounting, finance, econometrics, economics and more. Business Source Alumni Edition includes full text sources ranging from general periodicals to trade publications and top management journals. Additional full-text sources include country economic reports, industry reports, market research reports, company profiles and more.

UT Harry Ransom Center - Texas Exes members receive a special 15% discount on any level of membership to the Harry Ransom Center, a humanities research library and museum at The University of Texas at Austin. Members of the Ransom Center enjoy insider access and behind-the-scenes glimpses of the cultural wonders we keep secure for the future. UT RecSports Programs - Texas Ex Members qualify for membership in the UT Recreational Sports Program. Facilities available include: Gregory Gym, Rec Center and Bellmont Hall. Semester ($200), Annual ($440), and daily ($10) memberships are available. For information call (512) 471-6370.

Texas Exes Tailgates at the Alumni Center - The Alumni Center opens its doors three hours prior to kick-off for every home football game. One adult guest and children under 18 are free when accompanied by a member. All other non-members are charged a $5 admission fee and must be accompanied by a member. Remember to bring your membership card or Life Member key tag for identification.
