| 2007/10/11 -- Happy Hour at Third Base |
| The Texas Exes Young Alumni Group met up at Third Base Sports Bar for a casual happy hour with friendly faces along with great drinks and food. The back room was filled with smiling ex-students enjoying the company and making new friends while watching the many sports on TV. The first 10 card carrying members received a gift card to Tiff’s Treats!

| The first ever young alumni wine tasting event was a huge success and even sold out about three weeks before the event! About 60 people packed in to Cork & Co. to sample wines from Italy and catch up with fellow graduates. Yviand Serbones was the lucky winner of a bottle of the Texas Exes 5th Edition Collector’s Series wine. |
| 2007/07 -- Joint Happy Hour at J. Blacks |
| The Texas Exes Young Alumni Group, the Habitat Young Professionals and the Young Texans Society held a joint happy hour together in July at the newly-opened J. Blacks Feel Good Lounge. The bar was packed with people having a good time catching up with old friends and making new ones. Card-carrying Texas Exes members even received a $5 gift card to Tiff’s Treats! |

| About a hundred people joined our group and packed what was already a full bar to watch the Texas vs. A&M Men’s Basketball game on February 5. Thank you to Doc’s Motorworks for reserving a special section for our group and some great specials for the evening. Even though we lost, it seemed like everyone had a great time and we collected $100 for the Soldier Care Package service project our student chapter will be working on this spring! |

| In January, State Representative Patrick Rose, AT&T Lobbyist and Texas Exes President Sonia Perez, and Lobbyist and Texas Exes Public Affairs Committee Chairman Eric Wright joined us for a panel discussion led by UT Government Professor, Sean Theriault to discuss the legislative process and this session in particular. The panelists provided an internal perspective on what the big issues and who the big players are right now. |

| The Austin Young Alumni Group held their kickoff event on August 23, 2006. It was a hot day, but everyone enjoyed seeing the new Gregory Outdoor Pool and re-connecting with old friends. “Little Mikey and the Soda Jerks” played a couple of sets while young alums enjoyed their cocktails and company. |
