Awards > Alumni Achievement Distinguished Alumnus Awards - Created in 1958, these prestigious awards are granted annually on a Friday evening before a home football game. We recognize as many as six Texas Exes who have distinguished themselves professionally and through service to The University of Texas. Outstanding Young Texas Ex Awards - This award, initiated in 1980, recognizes Texas Exes no older than 40 who have made significant achievements in their careers and service to the university. Anyone may nominate candidates; four recipients are selected each year. Awards are presented in Austin on the day of UT’s spring commencement. Top Hand Awards - The association president gives this award to Texas Exes who have given extraordinary service to the Association. |
