President’s Leadership Awards - The President’s Leadership Awards were created in 1985 with an endowment from past Texas Exes president Frank Denius. These awards recognize students in each undergraduate classification level who have demonstrated outstanding leadership within the student community at The University of Texas. One freshman, one sophomore, two juniors and two seniors receive the award annually, and are recognized at the Student Leadership Awards in April. Nominations open in September.

Edward S. Guleke Student Excellence Award - This prestigious student award, established by the Friar Society in partnership with the Texas Exes in 1977, honors the memory of Edward S. Guleke, a dedicated University of Texas student and leader. Each year, the award recognizes an individual at the junior level or above who has distinguished academic credentials, has made significant contribution to the University through campus-wide activities and evidences the personal attributes of character and integrity that have earned the respect and admiration of his or her peers. Nominations open in January.

Most Valuable Athlete Awards - Selected by their teammates, the Most Valuable Athlete in every UT men’s and women’s intercollegiate sport receives an award from the Association.

Jack Gray Award - Given in honor of Jack Gray, a former Longhorn basketball player and coach, member of the Longhorn Hall of Honor and recipient of a Distinguished Alumnus Award. Annually, this award recognizes a Longhorn basketball player who demonstrates outstanding character, citizenship, academic achievement and contributions reflective of the University of Texas basketball program.
