Rewarding Excellence

Since 1885, The Texas Exes has been a strong, cohesive source of support for the University and its continued tradition of excellence. With one of the broadest programs of fellowship and service of any alumni association in the nation, The Texas Exes membership totals more than 70,000 dues-paying alumni and friends of the University. All scholarships are for students attending The University of Texas at Austin .

In the last several years, the scholarship program has grown from giving $420,000 to 357 students to one that awards approximately $1.5 million each year to more than 600 recipients. These scholarships are established by alumni and alumni groups as well as Texas Exes Chapters and other friends of the University.

Another way The Texas Exes serve the University is through awards. Our awards instill pride by recognizing accomplishments that bring credit to the University, stimulate involvement in the Association among alumni, student leaders, administrators, faculty, and other honorees, and recognize and encourage excellence in education at all levels, and personalize the University.
